The goal of the SED2019 is to encourage communication between researchers of the Amsterdam UMC across the borders of different departments and research institutes. So far, the SED has been a highly appreciated VU University Medical Center event. We are very happy to extend this 13th edition of the SED, and to make it a joint seminar to which researchers from both locations VUmc and AMC are being invited to participate. It will be an unique opportunity to present your research, expand your network and get involved in interesting discussions with fellow researchers from research institutes of both locations.

PhD students are invited to submit an abstract for the presentation of a poster with to present their research. Of course, more senior researchers are also very welcome to join the day as a visitor. Three keynote speakers will introduce the audience in their own research or discipline. Besides, each research institute has been asked to delegate an oral presenter of one of their most exciting recent research achievements.
